1) Scope
- Consist all the content, topics, learning experience, and organizing threads,
- can extend over a year or more,

- Cumulative and continuous learning,
- How content and experience can build on what come before
3) Continuity
- Repetition of curriculum,
- Ideas and skill reappear
- Provide opportunity to become more sophisticated in the process
4) Integration
- Linking all types of knowledge and experience,
- Relationship between topics and themes
5) Articulation
- Vertical articulation (sequencing content from one grade level to another)
- Horizontal articulation (develop relationship between elements)
6) Balance
- Appropriate weight of each aspect,
- Advance their personal social and intellectual goals.
